Alice L. Potter, 94, of North Jackson, PA, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Barnes Kasson SNF, Susquehanna, PA.
She was predeceased by her parents Perry & Edith Whitney; husband Myron J. Potter; brother Robert Whitney; and sister Helen Smith.
Alice is survived by her children Douglas & Carol Potter, Louise & Fred Buehring, Annette & Emil Urcan, Catherine & Alessandro Baldi, and Donald & Kim Potter; grandchildren Carl, Myron, Cathy, Joanne, David, Rebecca, Alyssa, Christina, Marcus, Jessica, Kassidy, and Joshua; great grandchildren Ethan, Brandyn, Chloe, Jason, Melody, Rosalie, Codey, Kelsi, Justin, Annalise, Dana, Ava, and Oliver; brothers Donald and Leon Whitney; sister Jean Richard; special niece Brenda Mariano; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Alice was raised in Thompson, PA, and graduated from Thompson High School. After high school she attended Mansfield University and earned her Home Economics Degree. She spent many years as a homemaker and working on the family dairy farm and even ran it after her husband’s hip replacement. Alice substitute taught for many years also. She was a lifetime member of North Jackson Community Church, where she held many positions and sang in the choir. In her later years Alice enjoyed hiking and spending time helping on the farm. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at 11am at North Jackson Community Church, 976 Deer Ridge Road, Susquehanna, PA.
The family will receive friends at the Church on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, from 10 to 11 am.
Interment in Fairmont Cemetery in Thompson, PA, will be held Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 11am.
