Alice M. Welch Of Starrucca, PA October 14, 2012 Alice M Welch, 92, of Starrucca Pa departed this earthly abode to be reunited with her husband, Rashaw, who left her over 11 years ago, to be in the presence of their Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ in Heaven where there is no more pain and sorrow. She was predeceased by her brother Raymond Avery and her sister Edna Smith. She is survived by one daughter, Loreida Sickler, of Meshoppen , Pa.; two sons Louis (Darlene Sickler) of Starrucca and Robert (Julie Burnam) of Ninilchik , AK; 8 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Alice supported her husband in all his endeavors as his help mate, the last of which was the job of farming. She milked cows with her daughter-in-law until she was 72 and a new generation began helping on the farm. She never lost her interest in what was going on and how the cows were. She enjoyed keeping an eye on things from her vantage point through looking out the large sliding glass entrance door. She loved going to church until it was physically too taxing to do so. She also was an avid reader and puzzle book fan. She was a prayer warrior and could be counted on to be faithful to your request of prayer. She will be greatly missed by many of her friends and loved ones. A funeral service will be on Friday, October 19, 2012, at 11am, at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA, with Rev. Jonathan Fall and Rev. John Sherman officiating.
