Alta Mae Ropert

Alta M. (Butts) Ropert Of Deposit, NY Sadly, Alta went to join the Angels on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at the Willow Point Nursing Home in Vestal, NY after a lengthy struggle with Dementia. Alta was a fun loving, feisty, strong and independent woman who loved life and could hold her own. As a lifelong resident of Deposit, she was known by many. During her life she held careers as a truant officer at Deposit Central School for many years as well as having jobs with Courier Printing and Country Store. Some of her favorite past times were gardening, dancing, spoiling her grandchildren who referred to her as grandma silly and loving her great grandchildren who referred to her as Meema. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years Ronald Ropert; her parents and siblings. She is survived by her children Rita Conklin, Robbie Ropert, Ruth (Dwayne) Lobdell; grandchildren, Jennifer Valentine (Mike Sale), Amber Ropert (Derrek Zazeckie), Joshua Lobdell, Jason Lobdell and Molly Lobdell; her great grandchildren Payton Reis, Alaena Sale and James Sale; as well as many nieces and nephews. We will miss her beautiful smile and her unique sense of humor. At Alta’s request there will be a private family service.
