Andrew Bednarz
Of Jackson, PA
Andrew Raymond Bednarz, a devoted family man and dedicated professional, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2026, at Endless Mountain Health Systems Hospital in Montrose, Pennsylvania. Born on December 29, 1942, in Simpson, Pennsylvania.
Andrew dedicated thirty years of his career to Pfizer, contributing significantly until his retirement. Following a fulfilling tenure, he made Denville, New Jersey, his home for over three decades before relocating to Jackson, Pennsylvania.
He had a passion for gardening. He also was a member of several bowling and softball teams throughout his life. He was an enthusiastic sports fan, especially the New York Yankees, embracing the joys these pastimes brought him.
Andrew’s legacy is carried forward by his beloved children—Robin and Mark Iannacone, Sheila Gerhold, Andrew and Lisa Bednarz Jr., Stephen Bednarz, and Michael and Kelly Bednarz. He was a proud grandfather to John, Elizabeth, Shannon, Kimberly, Kyle, Maria, Samantha, Suzanne, Sarah, Hailey Christine, Hannah, William, and Shyanne, and a great-grandfather to Lillian, Matthew, Darren, Jolene, Dakota, Lucy, and John. His sister, Shirley Trumper, along with his brother and sister-in-law, Alice and Al Berhing, and Raymond and Kathy Svenson, survive him, as do many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Andrew was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Anna (Pytel) Bednarz, and his spouse, Carol Ann Bednarz.
The community is invited to honor Andrew’s memory with a visitation held at Hennessey's Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Avenue, Susquehanna, Pennsylvania 18847, on March 28, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM. This will be followed immediately by a funeral service at the same location from 5:00 PM.
He will be remembered with deep respect and affection by all who knew him.
