Andrew M. Genneken Of Gelatt, PA       Andrew M. Genneken, 92 of Gelatt, PA formerly of Wallington, NJ was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 7, 2018. He was born and raised in Wallington NJ, the son of the late Christian and Frances Genneken. He was also predeceased by his beloved wife Joan C. Genneken R.N. in 2014. Andrew is survived by his 6 children Andrew, Catherine, Christian, Steven and wife Mary, Peter and Thomas; 2 brothers George & Judy Genneken and Robert & Linda Genneken; 3 sisters Anna Abbott, Frances Haugh, and Dorothy & Al Milch; brother-in-law Stephen Kempf; sister-in-law Karen Kologie; 10  grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Andrew was a member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, North Jackson, PA. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during WWII. After the service Andrew worked as an Electrical Technician for Singer-Kearfott in Little Falls, NJ until his retirement; after which he moved to Gelatt, PA. He loved to farm, growing fruits and vegetables; to the local children he was known as the “Pumpkin Man”. He will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends. A mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, North Jackson, PA, at 10am on Friday, October 12, 2018 with Rev. David Cramer officiating. Interment will be in held in Gelatt Cemetery, Gelatt, PA. The family will receive friends at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA on Thursday, October 11 from 4 to 6pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Martin of Tours Church, North Jackson, PA.
