Angeline L. Conarton Of Great Bend, PA   Angeline L. Conarton, 94, of Great Bend, PA, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2014, at the Endless Mountain’s Health Systems, Montrose, PA.  She was predeceased by her parents Anthony and Anna (Magnotti) Giangrieco, her loving husband John W. Conarton on February 28, 1992, one brother Mickey Giangrieco and one sister Louise Tessier.  She is survived by her son Anthony Conarton, Great Bend, PA, daughter and son-in-law; Anne and Michael Yannone, New Milford, PA, brother and sister-in-law; John and Jean Giangrieco, Hallstead, PA, sister-in-law Mary Giangrieco, a grandson, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Born Angeline L. Giangrieco in Montrose, PA, at about five years old, she and her parents moved to Hallstead, PA. In later years, she worked for New York State Electric and Gas in Binghamton, NY. She resided in Hallstead until 1958 when she married her husband John W. Conarton (who was Susquehanna County Corner from 1964-1991) and moved to Great Bend, PA. While living in Great Bend, they purchased a home and owned and operated the John W. Conarton Funeral Home for many years.  In 1958, Angeline became involved with the Republican Party and then became a Republican Committee person for Great Bend Borough. At the present time she was still a very active Committee person. Over the years she has been involved in many aspects of the party, such as Fall Rally’s, Harford Fair Booth, and Campaign Headquarters and as a member of Republican Women. The Susquehanna County Republican Committee honored Angeline L. Conarton, the 2005 recipient of the Jack M. Masters Lifetime Achievement Award. Angeline has faithfully served the Susquehanna County Republican Committee.  During her many years, Angeline was also involved in the American Cancer Society as the chairman for Great Bend Borough and Great Bend Township getting people to go out and collect for this cause. She sold Daffodils in March of every year and also helped with the Red Cross for many years.  Angeline was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Great Bend, PA and was past treasurer of the Altar and Rosary Society.  A mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, October 17, 2014, at 11:00am at the St. Lawrence Church, Great Bend, PA, with Pastor David Cramer officiating. Burial will be in the St. Lawrence Cemetery, Great Bend, PA.  As per Angeline’s request, the family will receive friends at the St. Lawrence Church, Great Bend, PA from 10:30 to 11:00am  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Lawrence Church, Great Bend, PA
