Anna E. Whitmore Foote, 91, of Montrose, PA passed to her Heavenly home on Saturday, July 12, 2025. She was born in Harmony Township on October 8, 1933, to Arthur and Lanie Wayman Whitmore. She was originally from Susquehanna and lived the last 14 years in Montrose.

Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Foote, Sr. in 1999, her father Arthur Whitmore, mother, Lanie Wayman Whitmore Baker, stepfather, Stephen (Art) Baker, brothers LeRoy Whitmore, Gerald Whitmore and Albert Whitmore, and a sister, Rosemary Travis. She was also preceded in death by a daughter in law, Marsha Foote, and a granddaughter, Isabella Grace McKinney.

She is survived by four sons and three daughters: Ralph Foote, Jr. and wife, Pauline (Montrose, PA), Eugene Foote and wife, Wilma (Mt. Olive, NC), Philip Foote (Montrose, PA), Rodney Foote and wife, Christine (Lanesboro, PA), Jo Ann Andersen (Montrose, PA), Helen Auble and husband, Jim (Archibald, PA), Meredith Treacy and finance, Mike Davis (New Milford, PA). She is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren and two special nieces, Pauline Travis Rudock (whom she raised) and Patricia Weibel.

Anna loved canning vegetables from her garden and working in her flower garden in her younger days. Her hobbies were crocheting, making things from plastic mesh, making things with beads and putting puzzles together. She was well liked by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.

Services to celebrate Anna's life will be held at Hennessey Funeral Home 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA on Saturday July 19, 2025. Visitation with the family will be at 4 pm followed by a memorial service at 5 pm. Burial will follow the service at Lakeview Cemetery in Susquehanna, PA.
