Anna Napolitano Of Rochester, NY Anna Napolitano, lifelong resident of Susquehanna, passed away quietly on Tuesday November 20th at the Leo Center for Caring in Rochester, N.Y. Anna had become a "New Yorker" almost two years ago, when she went to live with her daughter, Toni, and son-in-law, Frank, and their family. She is survived by her son, George, and his sons Adam and Andy of Susquehanna, daughter and son-in-law Toni and Frank and their children: Sarah, Jen and Chris Cassano and their daughter, Sofia, from Rochester, N.Y., Christopher from Denver, Colorado, and Missy and Sam Lopez and their children,Antonio and Brianna from Palm Bay, Florida. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Tony Napolitano, many nieces and nephews, and good friends, especially Mary Diaz. Anna was very active in her community all of her life. She was a member of different organizations, such as: Sons of Italy, Business Women, Catholic Daughters, Legion Auxiliary, Firemen Auxiliary, and Altar and Rosary Society. With her love of music and her beautiful voice, she sang the Daily Masses and was a choir member of the Ecumenical Choir and active in musical productions in years past. She loved to bowl, not because of her outstanding average, but for the fun of the game and friendships. She was an avid bingo player and taught her grandchildren how to play cards. For many years, she was a lector at church. Until her move to New York, she worked at the senior center dishing up food for Meals on Wheels. Anna was a loving mother, grandma, and great-grandma. We will miss her. The funeral mass will be held on Saturday November 24th at 9am at the St. John’s Church in Susquehanna where a mass of Christian burial will be offered by Rev. David Cramer. Burial will be in the St. John’s Cemetery in Susquehanna, Pa. The family will receive friends at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, Pa. on Friday from 4 to 7pm.
