Audrey L. Sullivan, born on December 13, 1940, in Susquehanna, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026, at Barnes-Kasson Skilled Nursing Facility in Susquehanna. Her life was marked by devotion to family and a deep appreciation for the simple joys found in nature and creativity.

Audrey was a lifelong resident of Susquehanna and a proud graduate of Susquehanna Community High School. She devoted over 30 years to the Susquehanna Community School District, where she made a lasting impact on those she worked with. 

She cherished the quiet moments spent doing jigsaw puzzles. She found great joy in watching the beautiful wildlife and nature that graced her home. Audrey also had a fondness for antiques, a testament to her appreciation for the history and stories carried through the ages. She took pleasure in creating and making, activities that brought satisfaction and happiness to her daily life.

Audrey enjoyed active participation in social gatherings, including regular Red Hats lunches, and monthly lunches with her cousins in Sayre, PA. These occasions were highlights for her, reflecting her commitment to family connection and friendship.

She is survived by her daughter Jackie and her husband Steve Berling; her son Gerard and his wife Dawn Sullivan; and her daughter Jennifer and her husband Allen Lawson. Audrey’s love extended to her grandchildren—Brandon and Erin Lawson, Sean Lawson, Maureen Lawson, Adam and Jenna Napolitano, and Andy and Joelle Napolitano—and her great-grandchildren Peyton Lawson, Leah Lawson, Miles Lawson, and Mia Lawson. She also leaves behind her son-in-law George Napolitano; her brothers Jim and Naruko Stark and Terry Stark; as well as her nieces and nephews—Meredith, Kenji, Shoji, and Myya—who all carry forward her legacy of warmth and kindness. Additionally, Audrey leaves behind Jakub Tomczyk who was an important part of her life.

Audrey was preceded in death by her beloved spouse of 47 years, Gerard D. Sullivan; her dear daughter, Rebecca Napolitano; her parents, Andrew and Frances Stark; and her sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Robert Rapkin.

Audrey Sullivan's life was a testament to dedication, love, and the quiet beauty of everyday moments. She will be remembered with respect and affection by all who knew her and by the community she so selflessly served. Her memory will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of sharing in her life.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Barnes-Kasson Skilled Nursing Facility for their care and compassion. The staff was truly wonderful, always showing kindness during Audrey’s time there.
