Most people will remember Bea from her days working as a waitress at the Town Restaurant in Susquehanna, PA. Mom enjoyed getting to know the customers, the regulars and the many workers over the years. In her early years, she also worked at Dobb’s in Hallstead, PA, and Magnetics in Hallstead, PA.
Beatrice belonged to the Red Hat’s for many years and enjoyed the monthly luncheons and always loved her turn to host and decorate for the theme of the month. Bea loved decorating her home for the holidays, but her favorite was Halloween. Bea loved antiques, especially her vintage collection of beaded and mesh purses and her Shirley Temple Doll collection along with many other collectibles.
Bea loved her family and will be greatly missed but her memories live on with her children and grandchildren who share interests in antiques, and of course, her inherited holiday decorations.
A private, family service will be held at Hennessey’s Funeral Home in Susquehanna, PA on April 17, 2026, and followed by internment at McKune’s cemetery where Bea’s wishes will be honored, and she will rest eternally with “Ma and Dad” in the family plot.
The family would like to thank the many caregivers who, over the years, helped to keep mom at home. (Cheryl, Dennis, Stephanie, Brenda, Kim to name a few). We would also like to thank the staff at Gracious Living in Montrose, PA and Bridgewater Rehabilitation for caring for our mother. Rest in peace, mom, we love you.
