He is predeceased by his parents Bernard and Jane (Schriver) Butts.

Bernard is survived by brothers William Butts and Ronald Butts Sr; Aunt Pauline Saunders; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Bernard was born in Sidney, NY and attended school in Deposit, NY. After school he was self-employed as a handyman mowing lawns and providing a variety of services. Bernard was a member of the Maple Lane Assembly of God Church.

Bernard will be buried with his parents in the North Afton Cemetery.
