Bernard F. Pickering Of Susquehanna, PA Bernard “Bernie” Pickering, 88, of Susquehanna, PA passed away Monday, December 23, 2019 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale, PA. Bernard was born on September 12, 1931 in West Windsor, NY. Son of the late Frank & Theta (Clark) Pickering. He grew up in Binghamton, NY. He is survived by his beloved wife Vivian (Peltz) Pickering whom he has been married to since 1953; He will be missed by his three children - Son, Kenneth & Carolan Pickering from Newton, NJ, Two daughters, Kathleen (Pickering) & Joe Pokorski from Maryville, TN, Rebecca (Pickering) Sierant from Sebring, FL; Brother, Benjamin Pickering from Binghamton, NY; Many nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bernard was a veteran of the Air Force serving during the Korean War from 1948 to 1952. He was employed by Western Electric/AT&T in Union. NJ as an Office Manager from 1953 to 1985. He lived in Rockaway, NJ and relocated to Susquehanna, PA after his retirement. During the winter months, he resided at his winter home in Sebring, FL. He enjoyed many hobbies including wood working, ham radio, electronics repair, automotive repair, fishing and photography. He was a licensed Amateur/Ham radio operator for from 1957 until present.
