Betty Joyce Atwood Of Deposit, NY Betty Joyce Atwood, 87 of Deposit, NY passed away on Monday, June 14, 2021 at UHS Wilson Hospital in Johnson City, NY. She was predeceased by her parents Everett & Evelyn Brown; and husband George Atwood. Betty Joyce was survived by her children Linda (Jeff) Willets, Nancy Atwood, George (Usha) Atwood Jr. and Steve Atwood; grandchildren Amy (Jake) Randolph, Kelli (Brian) Gualillo, Kristen Willets, and Justin Atwood; great granddaughter Eleanor Gualillo; sister Ethel Sue Wimmers; and best friend Kathy Galy. Betty Joyce grew up in Georgia and Miami, Florida where she met and married her husband George. In 1970 they moved to Deposit, NY. Betty Joyce worked at Bard Parker and also drove school bus for Deposit Central School until her retirement. During her retirement she drove for the Deposit Foundation and volunteered at the Deposit Closet. She was an active member of Christ Episcopal Church, Deposit, NY. She also was a Poll Worker for Town of Deposit for many years. Betty Joyce was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be dearly missed. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 28, 2021 at 11am at Christ Episcopal Church, 14 Monument St. Deposit, NY with Rev. William Wright officiating. Interment will be held in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Deposit, NY. The family will receive friends at the Church on Sunday, June 27, 2021 from 4pm to 6pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Betty Joyce’s name to Christ Episcopal Church, 14 Monument St. Deposit, NY 13754 or charity of one’s choice.
