Beverly Walker

Of Susquehanna, PA

Beverly Ruth (Wiggins) Walker, 89 3/4, of Susquehanna passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 6, 2026. Beverly joins in heaven her loving and devoted husband, Arthur, daughter Susan, granddaughter Ashley, great grandchildren Jacob, Bella, & Roman, parents Morris & Emily, siblings Raymond, Alice, Marion, Ralph, Norm, and Jack.

Beverly is survived by her children Sandy & Richard Price, David Walker, Darlene & George Troup and Ann-Marie & Jerry Belotti, grandchildren Shannon, Richard Jr. (Janelle), Tyler, Alexander, Christopher (Lauren), Amberly, Thomas (Dawn), & Kristy, and 14 great-grandchildren whom she enjoyed spending time with and spoiling. She is also survived by Wendy and Bill Madison, their children, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Beverly was born on February 15, 1937 in Waverly, NY and as a young child moved to the Windsor area. Beverly married Arthur on September 10, 1955, whom she was lovingly devoted to for 60 years. Early in their marriage, she worked for Eureka Tent. When she became a mother, she spent her time at home with her family. Alongside her husband, she started Walker and Son Garbage Service, where she did everything from being the chief bookkeeper to driving the trucks and slinging the garbage (with her children and then grandchildren).

Beverly spent her life enjoying community activities. She loved playing cards, drinking coffee, gossiping with her friends, and meeting her husband for drinks on Friday nights. She had the gift of gab and could keep you talking on the phone for hours. Through the years she participated in the hospital auxiliary, bag ladies (making quilts for the homeless), and the Northern Wayne Senior Group. She loved dabbling in a variety of crafts and showing her projects to her family. She enjoyed going to community yard sales, especially the one held at the church in Thompson.

Most of all, Beverly enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids. Grandma would sneak ice cream and treats at every opportunity. She especially loved bragging about them to anyone who would listen. She was always the first to spot their names in the newspaper and let EVERYONE know.

Beverly will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. In accordance with her wishes, a private burial for family will be held.
