Bonnie Louise Downton Of Susquehanna, Pa. Bonnie Louise Downton, Susquehanna, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, November 27, 2012. Bonnie was born on February 9, 1952, in Susquehanna. She is predeceased by her parents Charles and June Downton, and brother-in-law Raye Thomas. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Karen Downton; 5 grandchildren, Jacob, Juliann, Jonas, Jaxon, and Jennavieve Downton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Peg and Bill Bennett, Barb Hadden, Bob and Dee Martin, Joann Thomas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Kathy Downton, Pete and Vickie Downton; many nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews; special family friends, Dennis and Linda Cook, Donny and Jeanne Kurz. Bonnie, a graduate of Susquehanna Community School, was a CNA, licensed beautician, and earned an Associate’s Degree from Broome Community College in Applied Science. Bonnie was a proud employee of Barnes Kasson Hospital/Health Center for over 30 years. Bonnie worked numerous jobs over the years, helping many. Although she loved working, shopping, traveling, and playing games, she found the most joy in spending time with her family and friends. Bonnie will be greatly missed by all those whom she touched with her kindness and generosity. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 1, at 10:30 a.m. at the Starrucca Body of Christ Church with Pastor Kevin Setzer officiating. The family will receive friends at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave., Susquehanna, Pa., Friday, from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association or the Starrucca Body of Christ Church.
