Carl James (Jim) LeeOf Binghamton, NY Carl J. (Jim) Lee, 69 of Binghamton passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at the Health Alliance Hospital, Kingston, NY, after a traumatic injury at work on October 28, 2016. He was predeceased by his parents Carl A. and Marjorie (Curran) Lee, siblings Mary Eloise and William R. Lee and close cousins Albert and C. Robert Curran. Jim is survived by his wife of 39 years Susan, stepchildren Joseph (Julie) Wiktorek and Kathi Jones, daughter Kelli (Joe) Turk, his sisters Margaret (George) Vacca and Nancy (Bill )Culnane and brother-in-law Dr. Rick Henderson, his grandchildren include Joshua (Misha ) Hanzalik, Ryan George, Nicholas and Emily Barnett, Jackie and Jesse Wiktorek, Victor and Julian Acosta and Liam Turk, great grandchildren are Aria and Roman Hanzalik and he is also survived by five nieces and eight grand nieces and nephews. Jim was a native of Susquehanna, PA and graduated from Laurel Hill Academy and attended Broome Community College. He was a member of the Chemical Engine Fire Department of Susquehanna for 9 years. Jim retired from UHS in 2017 after working in the Engineering department for 42 years. He enjoyed traveling to visit family and going to beaches from Maine to Key West. A lifelong New York Yankees and Giants fan, Jim enjoyed watching NASCAR and sports and playing chess. Jim was a member of the parish of St’s. John and Andrew in Binghamton. A funeral mass will be celebrated by Msgr. Michael Meagher, on Friday May 5th at 10am at the Saints John and Andrew Church, 1263 Vestal Ave., Binghamton, NY Interment will be in the St. John’s Cemetery, Susquehanna, PA. The family will receive friends at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave., Susquehanna, PA, on Thursday May 4th from 5 to 8pm.
