Carlton H. Mallery October 31, 1952-February 16, 2017 Carlton H. Mallery, 64 of Susquehanna, PA, was peacefully called home by his Lord and Savior at Lourdes hospital after a valiant fight with cancer Thursday morning, February 16, 2017. He left behind his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 46 years Darlene (Snyder) Mallery. Carl was the proud and beloved father and grandfather (“Poppy”) to their two children and 7 grandchildren: daughter Stacy Mallery and husband Sean Murphy; grandchildren Steven and Danyelle Skurski, Stephanie Skurski, Breanna Bushong, Becca Bushong; son Carlton D. Mallery and wife Dana (Hutchinson); grandchildren Alyssa Hutchinson, Cole and Danielle Mallery, and Cameron (CJ) Mallery. He was predeceased by his father Gordon E. Mallery Jr. and mother Kathryn Satterly. He is survived by his four siblings; Norma Swetland (Mineral Point PA), John Mallery (Champlin MN), Alan Mallery (Bemidji MN), and Brenda Tally (Commerce TX). Carl served in the Army in Vietnam and later in the Army National Guard and was a member of the American Legion and VFW. He received his Associates Degree in Business from LCCC. Carl was a hard worker and worked many years for Bendix, then later for Boughton’s Auto Salvage, Dovatron, Willow Run Foods, and Suit Kote. He was a talented carpenter and enjoyed working with his hands, camping with his wife, hunting, and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by many. His family will celebrate his life privately. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Cancer Society.
