Carol A. Dailey Of Deposit, NY Carol A. Dailey, 75 of Deposit, NY passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, at home after a lengthy illness. She was predeceased by her parents Francis X. and Jeanne E. Dailey; daughter Maura Chancey and Fiance Jay Dushame. Carol is survived by her sisters Frances Derr Strickland, Kathleen M. & James Ballard, and Sally M. Ballard; grandson Josh Chancey; son-in-law Phil Chancey; many nieces and nephews and several special local friends. Carol graduated from Deposit Central School in 1963. She worked at American Airlines for 29 years until her retirement. She was a dedicated member of the Deposit Fire Department where she served as Captain of the Fire Police. She also ran the Blood Drives through the Fire Department. She was a devoted Red Sox fan. Carol will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends. Interment will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Deposit, NY. A memorial service will be held at a later date after the COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Barrett and the staff at Lourdes Oncology, “Lourdes At Home” and “Lourdes Ascension Hospice.” In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Deposit Fire Department, 130 Second St. Deposit, NY 13754; or a charity of one’s choice.
