Carol Beatrice Botts-Houghton

Carol B. Botts-Houghton, 99, resident of Foxton Lake, Jackson, PA, passed away peacefully at Forest City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.
Born November 5, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Roy & Etta Glover, Starrucca, PA. She worked for Susquehanna Community School District as the Cafeteria Manager for many years until her retirement.
Carol is predeceased by her loving husband, Harold Seth Houghton, of over thirty years, who both enjoyed living at Foxton Lake each summer and in Naples, Florida during the winter months.
Carol was quiet and reserved, but family and friends knew that a fierce integrity of character resided within her. She had an incredibly loving heart and was an expert in nurturing her family and friends and making the world around her beautiful. Carol was selfless in every respect. She loved her children, siblings, and friends. Her smile was quick and could light up the room. Carol always put the needs and concerns of others before her own, not only family, but friends as well. Carol was a beloved grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother.
Carol is survived by her five children: Cheyanne (Botts) and Keevin Kenyon, Port Crane, NY, Sandra (Botts) Marlin, Canaan, IN, Daniel Botts and Diane Rockwell-Botts, Brushville, PA, Karen (Botts) and Larry Porter, Mahomet, IL, and Trudy (Botts) and Nick Perez, Montrose, PA. Her sisters, Louise Murphy, Gladys Krager, and brother Jack and his wife Lucy Glover.

A graveside service will be held in Starrucca Cemetery, Starrucca, PA, in the Spring.
