Catherine Ann Estabrook of Jackson, PA passed away peacefully on Friday, November 11, 2022. Catherine was born in Susquehanna, PA to Carl and Phyllis Oropallo, who predeceased her. She also joins her son Kirt and sister Philomena Gow. As well as her grandparents and many beloved aunts and uncles.

Cate is survived by her husband of 41 years, Ronald Estabrook, her daughter Ivy Mereider, her son Lynn (Melissa) Canfield, daughter Mary Canfield, and stepdaughters Sarah Krause and Amanda Jenkins. As well as her brother Carl (Rosie) Oropallo, and sisters Mary White and Jacqueline (Albert) Harcar. Catherine loved her many nieces and nephews, as well as her grandchildren and great-granddaughters. Robert Mireider III, Ryan (Ashley) Mireider (whom she helped raise), John Borovicka, Jason Boravic, Roxanne Marie Canfield, Aliya Canfield, Dilynn Canfield, and great granddaughters Ariah Mireider and Mila Mireider.

Cate graduated from St. John’s Catholic school in Susquehanna, PA. She went on to get a degree in Cosmetology. She managed several salons and then opened Max & Kate’s Hair salon in Susquehanna, PA, where many people in the community loved to get their hair done and visit. Cate also enjoyed listening to audiobooks and entertaining many of her friends and family. She spent many hours crocheting blankets, which she donated to charities like the VFW. She opened her heart and home to many, and she will be dearly missed.

The family would like to thank the many staff at Compassionate Care, especially Bobbie Jo Lenahan, RN.

A Memorial Service will be held at Watson Hill Bible Church, 3878 State Route 492, New Milford PA, 18834 on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 11:00 am.

The family will receive friends at the Church from 10:00am to 11:00am.

There will be a dinner immediately following the Memorial Service.
