Charles J. Brennan Of Deposit, NY Charles Brennan (Charlie), 68, of Deposit, NY passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 11, 2019. Charlie was surrounded by a circle of love at his passing. Charlie was born in Johnson City, NY and spent most of his life in Deposit, NY. He was a US Navy Veteran, stationed in Brooklyn, NY. He worked as a gunner’s mate and ordinance mechanic. He worked many years at Cozy Brook Stone in Deposit, NY. He loved his time there and was lucky to have made many friends, who became like family to him. Charlie’s family will miss him. He is survived by Elizabeth Lyons, Kate Moore, Jackie Tarbox, and Ralph Brennan. He had many nieces and nephews and he loved them all. Charlie leaves behind many close friends; Marty and Ashley Decker, Al and Ruth Decker, his other family as he would tell us. How lucky he was to have them! His family wants to thank his good friends Tom and Stevie. They spent countless hours with him, helping him throughout his illness. Charlie fought his cancer with grace and humility. He did not want pity and asks that we remember him as he was, strong – humorous – bold, but gentle and caring. Charlie asked that people remember him by donating to the American Cancer Society. He hoped for a cure for prostate cancer. Charlie’s services will be at a future date. He will be resting at the McClure Cemetery in Deposit, NY. From there he can look over the valley of his childhood, watch over his loved ones and be at peace. We will carry him with us in everything we do and every place we go.
