Charlotte Ann Travis Jubinski

Of Port Orange, FL

Charlotte Ann Travis Jubinski, of Port Orange, FL a much-loved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend entered eternal rest at home on March 18, 2025. Born March 28, 1954, in Susquehanna PA to Wilford and Ann (Buchanan) Travis, Charlotte grew up in Lanesboro, PA and lived many years in Northeastern PA before retiring to Port Orange, Fl.

Charlotte leaves behind her husband Nicholas Jubinski Jr of Port Orange, Fl formerly of Uniondale, Pa. Two daughters Jeanine (Chris) Brannan of Port Orange, FL and Jamie (Mike) Ballard of Deposit, NY. Stepson Mark Jubinski of Port Orange, FL. Grandchildren Jessie Ingrassia of Port Orange, FL, Kassi (Brandon) Macumber and Kerri Cook, all of Deposit, NY, Alice Jubinski of Round Rock, TX. And two great grandchildren that were the light of her life Kendall and Granger Macumber.

Charlotte was the 8th of 10 children and was predeceased by her brothers Richard, Albert, Marvin and Gary Travis as well as her stepson Ivan Jubinski. She is survived by her sisters, Beverly Stanton, Phyllis Deaton, Caroline Dininny, Mary Jane Phillips and Christine Travis. As well as several nieces and nephews who will remember the antics of “Aunt Toad” as she was fondly called.

Charlotte was a hard worker who put her all into every task she undertook. She worked at Matis Manufacturing for several years when her girls were small before going to Matthew Bender and finally finishing her career out at Mid Atlantic Arms Collectors that she managed with her husband Nick before retiring. She was a lifetime member of the NRA.  Charlotte and Nick also sold Christmas trees at their farm in Uniondale for many years and their customers will remember Char’s smile and her quick laugh.

Charlotte was an avid competitor who loved to play sports, cards and games. Anyone that knew her well will tell you she was not good at losing!  Whether it was softball, horseshoes, pinochle or dominoes she always aimed to win. Many nights were spent around the dining room table and lots of laughs were had. She also enjoyed her time at gambling venues from Atlantic City to Las Vegas, Reno to Florida and throughout the Midwest and Canada.

Thanksgiving will never be the same without Charlotte’s famous pumpkin roll. She loved to cook and spend time with her family. She loved gardening and her flowers, a passion she inherited from her own mother. Many backroads were traveled with a shovel in the trunk in the hunt for something pretty to dig up! Lastly Charlotte and Nick were known for their love of dogs. Even when they were traveling back and forth from PA to Florida the dogs were never left behind. No doubt Charlotte had a welcoming committee upon her arrival. She will be sorely missed by her beloved rescues, Chester and Nuka.

A celebration of life and luncheon will be held April 12, 2025 at 2:00 P.M., at the Lanesboro Community Center, 418 Main St. Susquehanna, PA 18847.  Charlotte’s request was for guests to wear bright colors and be prepared to share fond memories or tributes.
