Clayton H. “Tony” Warner Jr., a life-long resident of Deposit, NY, passed away peacefully at his home on July 27, 2026, in Deposit, NY, at the age of 86. Born on May 13, 1940, in McClure, NY.

Tony was a proud third-generation farmer, dedicating countless years to working and operating the family farm, Butler Brook Farm. His steadfast commitment to agriculture and the community as a cattle dealer through Warner Livestock not only provided for his family but exemplified the values of hard work, reliability, and tradition. He was voted Young Conservationist Farmer of the Year. He and his family always participated in the “Fresh Air Kids” program. Tony and his family were also one of the first businesses in operation to clean boats for access to the Cannonsville Reservoir.

Clayton graduated from Deposit Central High School and remained a proud member of the Deposit, NY community throughout his life. His interests and passions went far beyond the boundaries of the farm. An avid bowler, Tony was inducted into the bowling hall of fame and was a member of the Amateur Bowling Conference.

A man of varied interests, Tony was also a collector of tractors and many treasures, always finding joy in things with history and meaning. His collections spoke to his appreciation for heritage and the simple pleasures in life.

Service to others was woven into the fabric of Tony’s life. He was a retired member of the Deposit Fire Department, answering the call to help neighbors in times of need. His commitment to community and camaraderie was further reflected in his membership with 4H, guiding and encouraging young people, and as a dedicated Mason, belonging to the Deposit Masonic Lodge.

Tony’s family was his greatest pride. He is survived by his loving children: Paul Warner and his wife Beth, Dennis Warner, Becky Atkinson, Deanna & Mark Morgan, Amberly Warner and Adam Buteau, Spike Russell, Codey Moilanen, Gilbert Hubbell and Ryan Stoss.
