Clyde F. Barnes Sr., 89 of Windsor, NY passed away Friday, August 4, 2023, at UHS Wilson Hospital in Johnson City, NY.

He was predeceased by his parents Raymond & Lillian (DePoe) Barnes; wife Loreena Barnes; five brothers Alvin, Donald, Roger, Herb, John, and Henry; and a sister Martha.

Clyde is survived by his sons Clyde Barnes Jr. and Ronald & Christine Barnes, Scott & Renee Barnes; daughter Sandra Barnes; grandchildren Cassidy Barnes, Kaitlin Barnes, Colin Wong, Bryan Barnes, Ryan Barnes, and Mackenzie Barnes; great grandchildren Austin and Andrew; four brothers Albert, Tom, Fred, and Raymond; two sisters Florence and Marian; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Clyde was born and raised in Susquehanna, PA and was 1 of 14 children. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War as a tank operator. Following his time in the service he was a tool and die maker.  Clyde was a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge and was also a member of the West Windsor Baptist Church. He enjoyed having breakfast at the Windsor Diner with his buddies. Clyde also loved motorcycles, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and Pirates, and was still an active bowler at the age of 89. He was able to fix anything and was still working on vehicles helping anyone in need. Clyde will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Noon at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Thursday, August 10, 2023, from 10am to Noon.

Interment will be held in North Jackson Cemetery, Jackson, PA.
