Dale Eugene Weaver, 73, of Susquehanna Pennsylvania, died peacefully with his family at his side on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at the Gino Merli Veterans Hospital after a long battle with COPD.

He was born in Cambria County on February 9, 1949 to the late Robert E. Weaver and late Betty C. Weaver (McConnell). He was raised in Susquehanna, with his siblings Robert Becky Jerry Ann, Clay, Cheryl, Kent, and Jane, where he graduated from Susquehanna Community High School. After graduation in 1967, he joined the U.S. Air Force and served in the Vietnam War Era as a C-123 and B-52 Crew Chief, obtaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. After his discharge, he worked at Florida Power and Light for 30 years until his early retirement due to disability in 2003. While working at FP&L he held the job of Powerplant Technician and gained many lifelong friends and respect from his peers based on the knowledge and passion he held. Dale enjoyed spending time fixing everything that he could, wood working, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary (Komara), and children, Jason (wife Alexias), Kristin, Robert and Bradley (wife Shelby) along with 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

A Memorial Service will be held at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA on Monday, November 14, 2022 at 11:00am. The burial with military honors to follow at Maple Ridge Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 10:00am to 11:00am.
