Daniel Griffin

Daniel GriffinOf Manville, NJ Daniel Griffin, age 65, passed away at his home in Manville, NJ on Father's Day after a brief illness. Mr. Griffin is survived by his daughter, Andrea Lea Griffin-Thompson of Punxsutawney, and two sisters, Sister Carole Griffin of Kingston and Linda Soop of Cortland, NY. He also leaves behind two granddaughters, Kaylea Jo and Sophia Elizabeth and several nieces. Daniel was preceded in death his parents, Harry and Helen (Lea) Griffin as well as his brother, Michael Griffin. Daniel was born in Susquehanna, PA on May 14, 1953. He graduated from Laurel Hill Academy and continued on to receive a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Pennsylvania State University. Daniel is a veteran and proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1976 to 1980 as well as the United States Army from 1987 to 1991. Daniel worked as a United States Custom Officer for many years before retiring in 2016. A funeral mass will be held at Saint John the Evangelist Church on Thursday, June 22 in Susquehanna, Pa. at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at St John's Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
