It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Daniel E. Hodack, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle, who passed away on March 8, 2026, at the age of 80.

He is predeceased by his parents, Eloise and Albert Hodack; and daughter, Dianne Hodack Zeigler.

He is survived by his loving wife of many years, Kathleen Hodack (Ciotoli) ; children: Daniel E. Hodack Jr., Denise Medlar (Jeffrey), Donald Hodack (Cynthia), David Hodack (Angela), and Kari Hawkins (Joshua); siblings: Bonita Walker (John), Albert Hodack (Jeanne), Raymond Hodack, and Cynthia LaCorte (Edward); grandchildren: Karli (Grant), Daniel B. (Danielle), Benjamin (Nicole), Emily, Nikki, Mandy, Owen, Gwen, Rustin and Annie; great-grandchildren: Hailey, Aubrey, Jaxon, Rylie, Marley, Carson, Ellie, Colton and Chloe. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends whom he dearly loved.

Dan was a man of great integrity, dedication and warmth. A loving and supportive husband, father, and grandfather, Dan found his greatest joy in time spent with his family—especially days on the water fishing and boating together. Known simply as “Pa” to grand kids and great grand kids, he was the loudest and proudest fan at their sporting events, rarely missing a chance to cheer them on. Dan lived in Susquehanna for over 50 years and was integral in the development of the Tri-Bro Municipal Authority Treatment Plant for Susquehanna and ran the local youth football program.

He graduated from Norwich High School and SUNY Brockport, participating in Football and Wrestling at both the high school and collegiate level. Dan made a lasting impact both academically and athletically.

Dan had a long and fulfilling career in education at Windsor Central High School. He taught math and was Department Coordinator. As head varsity football coach for 22 years, he led his team to over 100 wins, 6 Section IV titles and named coach of the year in 2006. He was proud to see his hard work and dedication recognized with induction into the Section IV Hall of Fame.

Dan's legacy lives on in the many lives he touched — through his family, students, athletes, and friends. He will be remembered for his dedication, fairness, wit and making time for others.
