David Charles Ayers Of Goose Creek, S.C. David Charles Ayers, 71, of Goose Creek, S.C. formerly of the Susquehanna, Pa area passed away Wednesday February 20, 2013 after an illness. David was born in Port Leyden, NY the son of the late Lionel & Charlotte (Taylor) Ayers. He was predeceased by his wife Judith Ayers; grandson Adam; great granddaughter Cerrarra. David is survived by his children David E. Ayers; Vanessa Grady; Thomas & Jackie Ayers; Suellen Swartwood and fiancée Arvey Dyke; Twila & Fred Stark; Florence Sylvester; Neil & Betty Jo Ayers; Kenneth Ayers and April Albro; Darcey Ayers and fiancée Todd Hill; brother LaVerne & Mary Jane Ayers; sisters Lily Buchanan; Charlene & Gary Shultz; 19 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren, 2 great, great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was an auto mechanic for many years, a member of the Thompson Hose Co., an avid NASCAR race fan and loved country music. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 9th at 11am at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, Pa. with Rev. Leanne Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 to 11am.
