David “Downtown” Brown
Of Susquehanna, PA
It is with great sadness we report the passing of Dave on November 2, 2026.
Dave had a big heart, a stubborn streak and sense of humor that could brighten even the darkest day. He believed in helping people, showing up when it mattered and never taking life too seriously. Dave was a friend to all. If you were lucky enough to know Dave, you knew him as “Downtown Davey Brown”. Every May, you could count on Dave being there, helping dig the hold to plant the tree for Mental Health Awareness. He didn’t just talk about making a difference, he grabbed a shovel and got to work. That’s just who Dave was.
Dave passed away surrounded by his family, leaving behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, and a few stories that will get better every time they’re told.
He leaves behind his son, Dave and his son’s Fiancé Kristine; three brothers Mark, Mike, and Tim; as well as a granddaughter Kelly and two stepdaughters who will miss him more than words can say. He will also be missed by his two furry friends, Ely and Bella.
While we’re heartbroken that Dave is gone, we can take comfort knowing that he left his mark on so many lives. He gave his time his heart his humor to the people around him. Knowing Dave, he probably wouldn’t want everyone sitting around being sad for too long.
There will be a Celebration of Life to honor Dave. The date and time will be announced.
Please bring your funny stories, favorite memories, and a good laugh or two. Dave would want us to share the stories, enjoy each other’s company, and remember him the way he lived. Rest easy Dave. You will be greatly missed.
