David Paul Fortune Of Windsor, NY David “The Dude” Fortune, 69 of Windsor, NY passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Barnes Kasson Hospital in Susquehanna, PA after a long courageous battle with cancer. David was predeceased by his parents Walter & Mary Fortune and sister-in-law Jeannie Tingley. He is survived by his loving wife of 6 years Michele Zeck; sons Paul, Ryan and Casey Fortune; daughter and son-in-law Elizabeth & Steven Caplinger; granddaughter Hannah; sister Linda Fortune; brothers and sisters-in-law Donald & Judy Fortune, Walter & Michele Fortune, and William & Amanda Fortune; step children Whitney and Christopher Perry; step granddaughters, Kendra and Bella; sisters-in-law, Colleen & George Wilkes and Patty Cullen, Kelly & David Laughlin, brothers-in-law Danny Cullen, Michael & Ruth Zeck, and James Zeck; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. David graduated from Susquehanna Community High School in Susquehanna, PA. Following high school David joined the United States Marine Corps and served during the Vietnam War. After his time in the military David went to many trade schools to become an expert in a variety of vocations. He retired from the maintenance department of Frito-Lay after several years. David also did contracting work throughout the years and was known to his family and friends as “Mr. Fix it” due to his vast knowledge and ability to fix anything. He was a generous, kind and loving husband who will be dearly missed. Especially by his dog who he was so fond of. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 2pm at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA. Interment will be held in the Lanesboro Cemetery, Lanesboro, PA. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Saturday, April 3, 2021 from 1 to 2pm.
