Deborah “Debbie” A. (Binder) Zayas, 70, of Susquehanna, PA, passed away Monday, October 2, 2023.

She was predeceased by her parents Robert C. & Anna Marie (Plutino) Binder and niece Kelly A. Conklin.

Debbie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Jonathan & Anamaria Binder; granddaughter Persephone Binder ; significant other Roy Williams; siblings Anne “Lee” & William Conklin, Kris & Julie Binder; nieces Caryn & Scott Meagley and Kristin Binder and nephew Steven Binder; Roy’s children Kaleb, Rebecca, Loribeth, Derek, and Kasey; and many cousins.

Debbie was born and raised in Yonkers, NY and graduated from Gorton High School. After high school Debbie went to work for Citi Bank in New York City and retired as a Vice President. After retiring 2007 Debbie moved to Susquehanna, PA to help take care of her mother. She served on the Susquehanna Depot Council for 12 years where she was Vice President for the past 6 years and served on the finance committee. Debbie was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 86 in Susquehanna, PA, where she served as President. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, ceramics, flower gardening, and watching hummingbirds. Debbie was a loving and caring mother who saw the good in everyone. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 11:00am at Bridgewater Church, 722 New York Ave. Hallstead, PA 18822.

The family will receive friends at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. on Thursday, October 5, 2023, from 6 to 8pm.
