Donald “Sonny” A. Lake Jr., 70, of Susquehanna, PA, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at Barnes Kasson Hospital in Susquehanna, PA.

He was predeceased by his parents Donald A. & Joan (Rupakus) Lake Sr.; and sister Bonnie (Phillips) Lake

Don is survived by his life partner Linda Pickering Lake; son Donald Lake III, grandson Donald Lake, great grandson Sonny James; nephew Jim (Larry) Phillips (Tammy); stepchildren Renee (Chris) Pickering, Chip (Connie) Pickering, step grandchildren Miranda (Chad), Kaleb, Autumn (Brandon), Isabelle; step great grandchildren Archer, Casen, Molly, Lily, Evie, and Gunner; 2 uncles and one aunt.

Don was born on October 23, 1953, in Susquehanna, PA. He retired from PennDot in 2010 where he worked as a truck driver. Prior to working for PennDot he worked at several garages in the area as mechanic. Don enjoyed hunting and grilling. He was also an avid Nascar fan; his favorite was Dale Earnhardt #3. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

At Don’s request there will be no funeral services, a Celebration of Life will be held later at the family’s convenience.
