Dorothy Jayne Hamlin

Dorothy J. Hamlin Of Deposit, NY Dorothy Jayne Niles Hamlin passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022 peacefully at her home. She was born June 2, 1929 to Calvin (Sunny), 1900-1987 and Gertrude Niles, 1901-1987. She had one brother, Melbourne Niles, 1923-1982, who had a good life with his wife Lois, 1928-2003. Dorothy married Robert Arthur Hamlin on June 2, 1948 who served in the Korean War and passed on in 2006. She was employed at the Sunnys Store, Deposit Courier, and Valley Offset Printing. They had one son, Kim Robert Hamlin who married Diann Knapp Hamlin, July 4, 1980. Dorothy had one grandson, Robert Ray Hamlin who was the joy of her life and to her husband Robert. Dorothy loved her family and was so ever grateful to her son and daughter-in-law for taking care of her in her later years. She was able to live at her home and enjoy all of the wonderful wildlife around the house. Dorothy will be cremated and then buried at Pine Grove Cemetery, Deposit, NY with her husband, family, and friends. She was very lucky to live a long life with a loving husband, son, daughter-in-law and grandson, family members, and friends. She will be missed by all and we wish her ever loving peace.
