Dorothy Karen Towner

Dorothy “Karen” Hadden Towner, age 75, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly Monday, May 28, 2018 at her home.   She was born September 17, 1942 in Susquehanna, PA to Ralph and Dorothy Hadden. From her birth to her death, she nourished people around her with love and affection and her contagious smile. Karen was an amazing wife to Ed Towner, this year being 58 years.   Together they raised three children Lewis (Debbie) Towner, Sheri (Barry) Heller and April Alexander and Mike Bowen; she also had 8 special grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren that she loved with all of her heart.   Karen was a stay at home mother for many years until working her first job at Matis Manufacturing for over 20 years.   Karen was predeceased by her one brothers Robert. She is survived by her brother Ralph Hadden and three sisters Diane Wilcox, Sharon Ball and Judy Peltz who she enjoyed spending time with on mini vacations and late nights playing cards.   Karen will be forever remembered as a woman with a heart of gold who would do anything for anyone. She will be missed by many, loved by all.   A memorial dinner will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 4pm at the American Legion Post #86, Main St. Susquehanna, PA 18847.   In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Columbia Hose Ambulance Crew, New Milford, PA for all of their compassion showed to the Towner family during their time of need.
