Earl A. Butts, 88, of Susquehanna, PA passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023, at Barnes Kasson Hospital in Susquehanna, PA.

He was predeceased by his parents Arthur M. & Ella D. Chapin.

Earl is survived by his loving wife of 24 years Marie (Wayman) Butts; children Sheri (Russell) Wayman, Harold Smith Jr. (Kendra Ososki), Rachel Smith (Carlos Williams); Keith Smith (Brandi Edwards); Amanda & Randy Bishop Jr., Geraldine & Edward Lake, Thomas & Ruth Butts, and Jeff & Mary Butts; also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Earl grew up on the family farm in Harmony Township and attended school in Stevens Point and Thompson. After school Earl worked on the family farm along with working at Edward Green Sr.’s Stone Quarry where he was a mechanic, welder and equipment operator. He also worked for Harmony Township for many years. Earl enjoyed playing pool, teaching people to play and was referred to as “The Legend” when it came to billiards. He was an avid outdoorsman who liked hunting and fishing. Earl was a generous person who would help anyone in need. Most important to Earl was spending time with his loving family especially his grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2022, from 2pm to 7pm at Bundy’s Place, 640 Front St. Susquehanna, PA.
