Elaine Joyce Powers, age 70, from Susquehanna, PA, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 20, 2025. She was born on May 7, 1954 in Scranton, PA.

Elaine is predeceased by her father Harold Dibble and mother Margaret (Dunn) Dibble.

She is survived by her three sons Randy D. Powers Jr. (June Powers), Bradley Powers and Jason Powers (Hannah Powers); her grandchildren Carly Powers, Alex Powers, Logan Powers, Nevaeh Powers, Jamie Cody and Katie Cochran; along with many siblings, nieces and nephews.

Elaine enjoyed cooking, making quilts, gardening, planting flowers and mostly helping others. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family.

She will be remembered fondly by her family, including her dog Hunter who was her constant source of comfort.

There will be a Funeral Service on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 11:00am at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Funeral Home.

Interment will be held at the North Jackson Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to one’s charity of choice.
