Elena Sanyshyn, 75 of Susquehanna, PA passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Vidor, TX on June 6, 1946, daughter of the late Albert & Estefana Ochoa. She was also predeceased by her sister Tonia Ochoa.

Elena is survived by her loving husband of 54 years John Sanyshyn; children Stefanie Nelson and Paul Sanyshyn; brothers Albert Ochoa, Ralph Ochoa, Raymond Ochoa, and John Varella; sister Cecilia Guerra; grandchildren Alexx Nelson and Morgan Sanyshyn; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Elena was a cosmetologist and cosmetology instructor for many years in Texas and New York. After retiring from cosmetology, she designed and sold jewelry. She was a very creative person and loved to apply that creativity into her jewelry, clothing, home décor or whatever else her mind could imagine. Elena was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 2pm at the “King’s Barn” 295 Main St. Thompson, PA.
