Ella Rose Mead Stark Of Broken Bow, OK Ella Rose Mead Stark, 85, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma passed away peacefully at the Broken Bow Health and Rehab on June 30, 2021. Ella, born on July 10, 1935, in Jackson, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania was the daughter of the late Benjamin A. Mead and Lila R. Lowe Mead. Ella was the beloved wife of the late Harry Raymond Stark whom she enjoyed spending her days with until he passed in 2001. Ella was the sister to three late brothers Leroy Ellsworth Mead, Benjamin Asbury Mead, Jr., and Leo Francis Mead, and one late sister Ruth Mae Mead. Ella is survived by her two sons, Harry J. (Cecilia) Stark, Perry R. Stark, and her two daughters, Cynthia Rose (Christopher) Raub, and Lana Marie (Michael) Hodge. She is also survived by her 18 devoted grandchildren, Callista (Bounthanh) Saengsakda, Alba Stark, Jasmine Stark, Aiden Stark, Nathan (Elieen) Stark, Melanie (Marty) Seidel, Brady Stark, Zachary (Tara) Stark, Emily Stark, Victoria (Robert Alexander) Raub, Cody (Kayla Darity) Raub, Cynara (Michael) Smith, Cynella (Dalton Davis) Raub, Marissa Hodge, Lacee Hodge, Logan Hodge, and Landon Hodge. Great-grandchildren Kyla, Waylin, Abel, Noah (Harry), Sadie, Lilly, Kaiden, Declan, Mayella, Rayella, and Lili-Rose. She also leaves behind her special friends Ruth Gallagher, Louise Wayman Hine, Barby Parson, Dorthy Hine Tyler, Retha Wood, the ladies from the Red Hat Society, and CEF. Ella lived most of her life in Susquehanna, Pennsylvania. After a long illness and car accident in late 2010, Ella was cared for by her daughter Lana and family and then Ella moved to live with her oldest daughter Cynthia in May of 2011 and who cared for her in her home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, until 2018 when her daughter was no longer able to care for her. Ella then lived at the Broken Bow Health and Rehab from 2018 until her death when she passed away in the facility surrounded by her family and the staff that loved and cared for her. Ella spent many years working at Tri-County Human Services transporting adults with developmental disabilities to work in the workshop in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. Ella taught Sunday school and was a leader in the AWANA program at the Jackson Baptist Church. She helped transport many children over the years from Susquehanna and surrounding areas to attend the program and services in Jackson. Ella worked for Child Evangelism Fellowship working in camps and teaching school release time classes. Ella taught Vacation Bible School and Good News Clubs. Ella loved teaching children about Jesus. Ella loved to read her bible, sew and do crafts, gardening, and can her own food with her husband and children on their small farm. Ella loved to collect swan memorabilia. She was a member of the Red Hat’s Society and loved participating with her friends.She loved spending her days with family traveling around the area looking at flowers, trees, and birds. She loved anything to do with nature and always liked to take the “scenic route”. In her later years, she enjoyed reading inspirational Christian romance, listening to gospel music, and watching television with the family. Her favorite expressions were “Yippee Skippy” and loved to hear you say “See You Later Alligator” when visting and she always responded “After While Crocodile”. Ella will be greatly missed by her family and friends in both Susquehanna, Broken Bow, and the staff that lovingly cared for her at Broken Bow Health and Rehab. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 am Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Jackson Baptist Church, 17280 PA-92, Jackson, PA. A Funeral Service will be held with Pastor Duane Bayle officiating at 11 AM. Burial to follow in North Jackson Cemetery with a Luncheon to follow at Jackson Baptist Church. The family would like to express their thanks for helping our mother fufill her final wishes. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ella’s name to Jackson Baptist Church, 17280 PA-92, Jackson, PA, 18825.
