Emily Elaine Piazza, 85 years old, entered into eternal rest with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 9, 2025.

A faithful servant of the Lord, Emily was always ready to help out any family member or friend in need.  There were many times when one would leave her house with a bag full of food or a dinner prepared.  She truly had a servant’s heart and will always be remembered for that.

Emily was born on January 26, 1940, in Montclair, NJ to William and Violet Eckert.  She lived many years in Bloomfield, NJ before moving to Pennsylvania in 1979.

She always enjoyed the outdoors working in her flower gardens, raising rabbits and enjoyed hunting and fishing.  She also loved on her numerous dogs and pets that have since past.

She enjoyed cooking and everyone loved her Italian dishes that she was so good at making.  She always put on a big spread for a dinner or holiday and if you went home hungry, it was your own fault.

Emily is survived by her son Richard Barba, daughters, Gina (Michael) Cook and Donna Piazza.  She is also survived by her sisters Mary Jane and Sally as well as 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  In addition, Emily is survived by her loving companion of many years, Alan Long and his sister Joyce Jones.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Eugene Piazza and sisters Violet and Delores.

At Emily’s request, there will be no funeral services at this time.

Emily donated to many charities and the true patriot that she was, she held a special place in her heart for veterans.  If you would like, you may make a donation in her honor to her favorite charities, Wounded Warrior or Tunnel to Towers.

Her family would like to acknowledge the care she received by the doctors and all the staff at Barnes Kasson Hospital and Skilled Nursing Facility.  It put her family at ease knowing she was receiving such special and comforting care like she was one of their family members.  Special thanks to Dr. B. Patel.  Her family will be forever grateful.
