Emma MacDonald, 85, of Oakland, PA, passed away quietly in her sleep on August 23, 2026.

Emma was predeceased by her parents Alfred and Alma Cook; sisters Rita Emiliani, Patricia Coar, Marge Cook, June Sailor, and brothers Al Cook and Jim Cook.

She is survived by her brother Robert (Donna) Cook; daughter Carrie (Daniel) Bednarz; sons Richard John (Donna) MacDonald, Dale MacDonald, Jeff (Joni) MacDonald; granddaughter Chelsea (Chris) Balliet; grandsons Danny Bednarz Jr., Michael MacDonald, Kyle MacDonald, Adam MacDonald, Cody MacDonald, Sean MacDonald and 8 great grandchildren.

Emma worked hard all her life and raised a family of four along with her husband, Richard. She worked as a shift supervisor at Magnetics Laboratories in Hallstead, PA until it closed. She also worked at Arrow Spinning, Matis’ Lingerie and Midnight Romance as a seamstress. She dedicated her life to being a homemaker, mother, daughter, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all.

There will be no services at her request and the family will have a private gathering later.
