Emmett Carl Sheptock, passed away on May 10, 2026, at the Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore, Pennsylvania. He was born on July 23, 1959, in Windsor, New York.

Emmet was a graduate of Susquehanna Community High School. For more than eighteen years, he served as a manager at Arrow Spinning until the company’s closure, where his leadership and dedication were well regarded by colleagues and community alike. He also worked at many local stone quarries through his years.

Emmett’s lifelong connections extended beyond his work as he found joy in fishing, playing bingo, and most importantly, cherishing quality time with his beloved family.

He is survived by his spouse of thirteen years, Vicke Sheptock; his son, Emmett Sheptock II; stepdaughters Courtney Pannetti and Jessica Pannetti; siblings Fred Huyck II, Rex Kelsey, Roxanne Huyck, and Wayne Huyck; grandchildren Joshua, Adrianne, Lexea, and Logan Sheptock; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins who carry forward his legacy. He also leaves behind a beloved mother-in-law, Ida Lewis. Emmett was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Barbara Huyck.

A heartfelt thank you is extended to Molly and all the compassionate staff at the Sacred Heart Hospice whose support and care provided comfort during Emmett’s final days.

His presence will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Emmett & Vicke’s residence.
