Florence M. Stone Of Thompson, PA Florence M. Stone, 91, of Thompson, PA, passed away peacefully at the Barnes Kasson Hospital on Monday, June 10, 2013. She was born in Carbondale, PA on May 29, 1922, the daughter of the late Florence Gentile and John Nataline. She graduated from Ben Franklin High School in 1940. Florence was predeceased by her husband of 41 years Louie Stone in 1988; her sisters Jessie Sarti, Julia Padelletti, Lena Nataline, and Mary Galoni; brothers Joseph and Angelo Nataline; grandson Jasmond Stone, and great grandson Lenton Brice Stone. She is survived by her children Florence Ann and Don Franceski of Thompson, PA, Laurie and Paul Witiak, Brooksville, FL, John and Charlotte Stone, of Thompson, PA, Louie and Barbara Stone of Thompson, PA, and Joseph and Debra Stone of Thompson, PA; fifteen grandchildren Amy, Vivona, and Donald Franceski, Jill Soden, Bronson, Loren, Gafston and Steffin Stone, Abra Lynn Wiedow, Danielle Ainey, Deanna Stone, Brion and Brandon Stone, Bridgette McKennis, and Paul Witiak; fourteen great grandchildren with 2 more on the way; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Florence owned a restaurant in Thompson, PA, for several years. She became known as “Mama Stone” to many. When she retired she worked for “Care for People” until December of 2012. She was a very loving and caring person who will deeply missed by all of her family and friends. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2013, at 10 am, at the St. John’s Church in Susquehanna, PA, with Rev. David Cramer officiating. Burial will be held in the Ararat Cemetery, Ararat, PA. The family will receive friends at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA, on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, from 5 to 8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Thompson Hose Co.
