Frances Hrynczyszyn, 89, of Susquehanna, PA passed away peacefully on Friday, March 17, 2023, at Tiffany Court at Kingston Retirement Home, in Kingston, PA.

She was predeceased by her parents Charles A. & Anna (Olenick) Compton Sr.; her husband Theodore Hrynczyszyn; and brother Charles A. Compton Jr.

Frances is survived by her son Andrew C. Hrynczyszyn; daughter and son-in-law Kathryn & William Boman; grandchildren Julian Hrynczyszyn, Ashley Peake (Boman), and Amanda Boman, great granddaughter Braelyn Charly Peake; and many cousins.

Frances was born in Newton, NJ and graduated from Newton High School. Following High School Frances graduated from St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in Patterson, NJ, in 1954. She worked as an RN in Newton Hospital. Frances moved to Susquehanna, PA in 1969 and worked at Barnes Kasson Hospital as an ER Nurse until her retirement. After her retirement she volunteered at a hospital in Inverness Florida. She had a great love of dogs and loved to knit. Frances and her husband also owned and operated a dairy farm in North Jackson, PA. She will be dearly missed by her loving family.

The family will receive friends at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA on Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 1 to 3pm.

Interment will take place in Pequest Cemetery, Great Meadows, NJ.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the local humane society of one’s choice.
