Francis B. Peterson

Francis B. Peterson Of Carbondale, PA       Francis B. Peterson, 84, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015, at the Scranton Regional Hospital Hospice after an illness. Francis was born in Chelsea, MA, the son of the late Benson and Lucy (Liberatore) Peterson. He was predeceased by his brother Raymond Peterson. Francis is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Agnes and Joseph Vietri; nieces LuAnn and Gerard Kaiser and Sue Ellen and Daniel Brogan; nephews John Vietri and Lani Valcruz and Joseph Allen and Patti Vietri; five other nieces and nephews and five great nieces and nephews. Francis was born in raised in Chelsea, Massachusetts, he then moved to Tucson Arizona where he owned and operated his own Driving School for 35 years. Once he became ill his sister moved him back to Rhode Island with her and then to Pennsylvania. Francis loved Arizona especially the heat. He enjoyed watching horse racing and taking trips to the casino, the outdoors, picnics, reading and playing chess. Francis will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends. A memorial service will be held at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA, on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 2pm.
