Frederic E. Boerner Of Susquehanna, PA   Frederic E. Boerner of Oakland, Susquehanna, PA entered eternal rest April 24, 2016. He was the son of the late Minnie (Griffis) and Howard Boerner, Susquehanna, PA. Frederic is survived by his wife of 65 years Betty S. Boerner, Susquehanna, PA. One daughter and her husband Jeri (Boerner) and Kenneth Stead, Binghamton, NY. Four sons and their wives Cynthia and Tracy Boerner, Susquehanna, PA, Judith and Jon Boerner, Susquehanna, PA, Christine and Jeffery Boerner, W. Windsor, NY, Robert Boerner, Vestal, NY. Frederic is also survived by grandchildren – Kendal (Stead) and John Plume, Connecticut, Kyle Stead, Lake Placid, NY, Jeremy Boerner and companion Kristin Gumaer, Susquehanna, PA, Jordan Boerner, Susquehanna, PA, Jamie Boerner, Susquehanna, PA, Carissa (Boerner) and William Martin, Conklin, NY, Janelle Boerner and companion Andrew Crawford, Susquehanna, PA, and Great-granddaughter Olivia Martin; Step-grandchildren Jessica and Joel Tompkins and their children Jack and Jordyn, Mt. Joy, PA, Jennifer and Joseph Talarico and son Joey, Great Bend, PA. Frederic is survived by sister Frieda (Boerner) and brother-in-law Robert Van Fleet, Susquehanna, PA, niece Dr. Rise Van Fleet and husband Mark Zarcichansky, Boiling Springs, PA, nephew Craig and wife Lugene Van Fleet and their daughter Melissa and Tyler Van Allen all of Bethlehem, PA. Frederic is survived by one sister-in-law, Joan M. Snyder, Johnson City, NY. Also, his medical family, Upstate University Hospital Staff, Dr. Gennady Bratslavsky and Jen, Dr. Jiri Bem and 5-B floor nurses and aids, as well as Dr. P. Patel and staff at the Barnes Kasson Hospital. Frederic was affiliated with railroading as a conductor on the Erie, Erie Lackawanna and retiring from Conrail Railroad after 40 plus years. He also shared these years with the stone quarrying industry and hobbing with Beef Cattle. He served in WWII as a member of a Marine Detachment aboard BB64 USS Wisconsin (Battleship) serving in the Pacific theater of war, being a member of the original commissioning crew. Frederic was a life member of the Endless Mountains Marine Corps League Detachment 881 and a 60 plus year member of the Canawacta Masonic Lodge #360, Susquehanna, PA. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 1pm at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA, with Chaplin Gracia Sears officiating. A private interment will be held in the North Jackson Cemetery, North Jackson, PA. The family will receive friends at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 from 5 to 8 pm and Wednesday April 27, from 12 to 1pm.
