Frederick D. Lewis Sr.

Frederick D. Lewis, Sr. Of Susquehanna, PA   Frederick D. Lewis, Sr., 79, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2014, at the Forest City Nursing and Rehab Center, Forest City, PA.   He was predeceased by his parents Reginald and Rachael Lewis.   Frederick is survived by his children; Frederick D. and Lavone Lewis, Jr., Dennis C. and Sallie Lewis, David T. Lewis, Lorrie and Michael Detwiler, Robert M. and Kimberley Lewis, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, a sister Betty Jayne and many nieces, nephews and cousins.   He was a veteran of the US Army, a member of the VFW in Lenox, PA and the Freedom Lodge #328.   Frederick was a truck driver, farmer and school bus driver for many years and he enjoyed hunting. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.   A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20, 2014, at 11:00am at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave., Susquehanna, PA.   Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeview, PA.   The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, October 19, 2014, from 4 to 6pm, with a Masonic service at 6pm.
