Gary J. Hennessey, 69, of Scranton, Pa. formerly of Susquehanna, PA passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Community Medical Center in Scranton, Pa.

He was predeceased by his son Ryan Hennessey and parents Jerry & Ann Hennessey.

Gary is survived by two brothers James & Bonnie Hennessey and Richard & Pamela Hennessey, two sisters Rosemary & Robert Parkinson, Nancy & Lance Griffin, Uncle Sonny (Frank) Farina, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Gary graduated from the Susquehanna Community High School class of 1970. He worked for Conrail Railroad and was a car salesman in Scranton for many years before retiring. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed playing golf. He always enjoyed telling a great story, which all his friends enjoyed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by Rev. David Cramer at St. John’s Church in Susquehanna on Friday, January 14th at 11am.

Burial will be in the St. John’s Cemetery in Susquehanna, PA.

The family will receive friends at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home on Friday from 10 to 11am.
