Gary D. Swartz Of Thompson, PA Gary D. Swartz, 68, of Thompson, PA, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2014, at the Barnes Kasson Hospital, Susquehanna, PA. Gary was born in Thompson, PA, son of the late Downton and Eloise (Dann) Swartz. He was predeceased by his brother Wayne Swartz and sister Lucille Boyd. Gary is survived by his four children Gary Swartz of Maryland, Heather Swartz of Pleasant Mt. PA, Jennifer Swartz of Thompson, PA, and Timmy Swartz, Florida; five grandsons, and four granddaughters; one brother Donnie Swartz of Windsor, NY; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Gary was a Lifetime member of the Thompson Hose Company which he was a member of for over 55 years. A memorial service will be held at the Thompson Fire Hall, Thompson, PA, on Saturday November 22, 2014, at noon with Rev. Earl Cottrell officiating. The family will receive friends at the Fire Hall on Saturday from 10am to noon. Internment will directly follow the memorial service in the Thompson Cemetery, Thompson, PA. A luncheon will held after at the Thomson Fire Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to help pay for funeral expenses may be made to the Hennessey’s Funeral Home 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, Pa. 18847.
