George E. Suchnick Of Oakland, Pa. George E. Suchnick,89, of Westfall Ave. Oakland, Pa. passed away Tuesday July 9, 2013 at home after an illness. He was born in Oakland, Pa. the son of the late George T. & Mary (Roberts) Suchnick. He was predeceased by his wife Bernice (Kishbaugh) Suchnick; two brothers David Suchnick , John Suchnick; five sisters Rachael Palmer, Mary Grace Donavon, Rose Marie Soudas, Celia McGrath and Lorynne Coon. George is survived by two daughters Kay Buffington and Georgia Suchnick; two sisters Linda & John Whited and Joan & Dr. Richard Falls; four grandchildren Adam Buffington, Aimee Wademan, Nichols DeAnglis and Shelia Poppo; three great grandchildren Chloe DeAnglis, Owen Poppo and Brock Poppo; several nieces and nephews. George retired from the Conrail Railroad as an engineer after 46 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion, Masonic Lodge and Odd Fellows Lodge. George was a loving father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the McKune Cemetery in Oakland, Pa.
