  Gerald W. BedfordOf Susquehanna, Pa.  Gerald W. Bedford,68, of Grand Street Susquehanna passed away Monday April1, 2013 at home after an illness. He was born the son of the late Sterling & Marion (Slocum) Bedford, Sr.Gerald was predeceased by his daughter Connie Bedford Marx; brother Sterling (Cappy) Bedford; sister Cindy Bedford. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Linda ( Towner) Bedford; two daughter Holly Bedford; Amy & Art Barnes; sister Larene & Duane Barton; special aunt Ella Mae & Joe Stone; granddaughter his peanut Baily Madison Barnes (Pop’s Girl). Gerald was a member of the United Methodist Church of Susquehanna. A veteran of the United States Army . He retired in 2000 from the Preston 151 Line Trucking in Scranton. A funeral service will be held on Thursday April 4th at noon at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna with Rev. Keith Albee officiating.Burial will be in the Starrucca Cemetery in Starrucca, Pa. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 10am to Noon. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of The Scared Heart 207 Locust St. Montrose, Pa. 18801.
